Prescription Assistance Resources

PhRMA’s Medicine Assistance Tool (MAT) is a search engine designed to help patients, caregivers and health care providers learn more about the resources available through the various biopharmaceutical industry programs.  MAT is not its own patient assistance program, but rather a search engine for many of the patient assistance resources that the biopharmaceutical industry offers. 


Pfizer RxPathways, formerly Pfizer Helpful Answers, is a comprehensive assistance program that provides eligible patients with a range of support services, including insurance counseling, co-pay assistance, and access to medicines for free or at a savings.  For additional support, call 1-866-706-2400 is a new non-branded treatment access resource launched by AfPA. The health care system is complex and there are many barriers that can prevent you from accessing the treatment prescribed by your physician. This new website arms patients with information they need to understand what happens from the time a physician writes a script to the time it is dispensed at the pharmacy. It also helps to explain the prescription process and allows you to share your experience with access issues and learn from others, advocate for important legislation, and stay current with the latest news. 


Co-Pay Relief Program (CPR) provides co-payment assistance to insured Americans who financially and medically qualify.  1-866-512-3861


RxAssist offers a comprehensive database of these patient assistance programs, as well as practical tools, news, and articles so that health care professionals and patients can find the information they need.


RxHope is the only patient assistance Internet initiative financially supported by PhRMA (Pharmaceutical and Research Manufacturers of America) and participating pharmaceutical companies.


NeedyMeds provides information for people who need help with the cost of medicine and other healthcare expenses.


GoodRX gathers current prices and discounts to help people find the lowest cost pharmacy for prescription drugs.

The Healthwell Foundation® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2003 that is committed to addressing the needs of individuals with insurance who cannot afford their copayments, coinsurance, and premiums for important medical treatments. Our vision is to ensure that no patient goes without health care because they cannot afford it.

The Healthwell Foundation® also has a lupus fund to provide assistance with the prescription drugs and biologics used in the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus.


Map RX is a is a coalition of patient, family caregiver and health professional organizations committed to safeguarding the well-being of patients with chronic diseases and disabilities under Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage. 

Immune Recovery Foundation™ (IRF) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low and moderate-income individuals, particularly those of color, who are hard hit financially and affected by serious autoimmune, chronic and life-altering diseases.  IRF provides co-pay assistance to qualified individuals for prescription, treatment, premiums and/or medical travel cost.

AbbVie Patient Assistance Program 
The AbbVie Patient Assistance Program (PAP) provides Abbott medications, at no cost, to patients in financial need.


AstraZeneca Patient Assistance Program 
Provides information about AstraZeneca's assistance programs.

Aurinia Alliance™
Aurinia Alliance™ offers personalized support for people living with lupus nephritis and their care partners. Enroll to be paired with a dedicated Nurse Case Manager who can help provide education, tools, and resources including assistance navigating insurance and medication costs. 

Bridge to Access 
GlaxoSmithKline’s patient assistance program for non-oncology medicines, provides GSK prescription medicines to eligible low-income patients without prescription drug benefits.

Merck & Company provides its medicines and adult vaccines for free or at discounts to people who do not have prescription drug or health insurance coverage and who, without our assistance, cannot afford their Merck medicine and vaccines.


Novartis Patient Assistance Program 
Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation's Patient Assistance Program (PAP) provides assistance to patients experiencing financial hardship who have no third party insurance coverage for their medicines.
