Donor Support Policy
 

The Lupus and Allied Diseases Association, Inc., receives financial support from a multitude of sources such as:

  

•    individuals with lupus and other autoimmune diseases;

•    family members, friends and employers;

•    physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers;

•    patient advocacy and professional organizations;

•    unions and trade associations;

•    insurance companies;

•    public officials;

•    federated campaigns;

•    workplace giving campaigns;

•    biopharmaceutical companies;

•    banks, schools, and restaurants;

•    healthcare institutions;

•    law, engineering, architectural, construction, accounting, investing, and consulting firms;

•    retail and grocery stores;

•    fraternities, sororities, and social clubs;

•    vehicle dealerships;

•    legions and VFW’s;

•    utility companies and other corporations.

 

The Lupus and Allied Diseases Association, Inc., is an all-volunteer, passion-driven organization and no volunteer has ever received compensation for their efforts since our inception. We rely entirely on donated manpower hours to achieve our mission and provide our program services. In 2023, 109 total volunteers, including our CEO and other key administrators, accumulated 9,212 hours of volunteer-contributed services; making our volunteers our largest group of donors.   

Although we rely on charitable donations to fund our program services and receive support from many stakeholders who represent various viewpoints regarding healthcare issues, we solely embody the patient perspective.
